A striking trompe l'œil sculpture by Canadian ceramicist Michel Harvey, hand-thrown and glazed to perfectly mimic a worn, string-tied cardboard shipping box — right down to a stamped "C.O.D." mark, wire corner fittings, and a patched corner, all rendered in clay. Part of Harvey's celebrated "Harvey Craft" series, in which everyday discarded objects are reimagined as sculptural art. The box form is considerably harder to find than his classic paper bag vases, making this a standout piece for any pop-art or postmodern design collection.
